A 15-year-old from Union Grove died from injuries in a crash involving an all-terrain vehicle Monday night.
Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the incident happened at about 11:50 p.m. Monday on Union Chapel Road, about four miles north of Arab in Marshall County.
Bailey said the 15-year-old was critically injured when the 2015 Honda four-wheeler ATV the teen was operating left the roadway and struck a tree. After the initial impact, the juvenile and another 15-year-old teen, who was a passenger, was thrown from the Honda. Neither were using a helmet at the time of crash.
Both teens were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The operator of the Honda later died from injuries at the hospital.
