Tuscaloosa’s Red Lobster became the latest location of the chain to close in Alabama.
According to the corporate website, the restaurant is no longer listed as open.
In May, Red Lobster abruptly closed the doors of some 50 restaurants, including four locations in the state - in Auburn, Decatur, Huntsville and Mobile.
Hours are still listed for Red Lobster locations in Birmingham, Dothan, Gadsden, Florence, Montgomery, Oxford and Vestavia Hills.
Closures have also been reported this year in locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.
In May, Red Lobster filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The company was founded in 1968 and is headquartered in Orlando, Fla.
