Birmingham has just months to decide how to spend the remaining millions of dollars of pandemic recovery money the city received from the federal government during the past few years.

Birmingham already allocated more than $86 million, money spent on the Birmingham Xpress bus rapid transit project, the 2022 World Games and other projects, according to data from the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee last fall. But is still has $50 million to decide how to spend.
