Two Alabama women have a chance to follow in the footsteps of Jackie Evancho, above.Two Alabama women -- one from Dothan and another from Lincoln -- are among 12 acts named finalists in the "America's Got Talent" YouTube auditions.
Beth Ann Robinson from Dothan and Breena Bell from Lincoln will compete live against 10 other acts beginning Tuesday night at 8 p.m. on the popular NBC show.
Robinson has Birmingham ties. Her father,
Dr. Chris Robinson, graduated from Vestavia High School, and her mother, Lisa Knight Robinson, graduated from Homewood High School.
The YouTube winner will be among the finalists on the show. Last year's runner-up, young opera singer Jackie Evancho, auditioned via YouTube.
