Two young teens were taken into custody Saturday in the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old in Montgomery.
The suspects are both 16 years old, said Montgomery police Sgt. Tina McGriff. Their names are not being released because of their age.
The teens are charged with capital murder in the Thursday killing of Hector Bamaca Yoc, who was sitting in his car at a gas station when he was shot.
The shooting happened at 12:45 a.m. in the 1000 block of West South Boulevard. Yoc was pronounced dead on the scene.
The killing happened during a robbery. Crime Stoppers on Friday released photos of the suspects seeking their identity and announced a reward.
McGriff said the teen boys were taken into custody by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office. They are being held without bond in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
