Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts ranked second in the NFL in royalty income last season, according to cllct.
A collectibles-news site, cllct reviewed NFL Players Association documents to determine royalty payments to NFL players from March 1, 2023, through Feb. 29, 2024.
During that period, Hurts collected $2,692,199 in royalties. Only Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had more with $3,630,340.

Licensing royalties come from the sale of jerseys, trading cards and other merchandise related to the player. A royalty is paid for using a player’s name or likeness.
Cllct reported Hurts had the biggest jump in royalty payments from the 2022 season to the 2023 campaign, earning about $1.8 million more.

Only one other player from an Alabama high school or college finished in the top 25 in royalties for the past season – Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa at $1,479,186, which ranked 16th.
Hurts and Tagovailoa are former Alabama quarterbacks. They were teammates with the Crimson Tide in the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
The previous season’s leader among players with Alabama football roots in NFL royalty payments also was a former Bama QB who was a teammate of Hurts and Tagovailoa. New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones ranked 16th in the NFL at $1,193,122 for the 2022 season.
Jones was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars in March.
