Heather Gann is the Birmingham reporter for the Lede online daily newspaper at AL.com. She covers any issues that directly impact Birmingham metro area residents such as decisions made by the Birmingham Water Works Board and road projects in Jefferson and Shelby County. Gann's primary focus is on producing stories that will have meaningful impact on a local level. Before coming to AL.com Gann interned as a legislative reporter in the Alabama State House with Alabama Daily News and interned on the editorial team of Southern Bride Magazine. She graduated with a Bachelor of Communications in News Media with a Spanish minor from the University of Alabama in May of 2022.
