After 32 years in business, Birmingham’s Rib-It-Up announced on Facebook the restaurant will close permanently.
The popular First Avenue North barbecue said the decision “comes as a result of the evolving economic landscape and the challenges we have faced in hiring additional staff.”
“We are immensely proud of the journey we have shared with you,” the Facebook post said. “Rib-It-Up has been a place where friends and family have gathered, celebrated, and created countless memories. Your unwavering support and loyalty have been the heart of our success, and for that, we are profoundly grateful.”
The post said the people behind Rib-It-Up will “celebrate the countless moments of joy, laughter, and togetherness that we have experienced with you.”
“Our dedicated staff, who have worked tirelessly to provide you with the best food and experience, deserve our heartfelt appreciation,” the post continued. “Thank you for being a part of the Rib-It-Up family. We will always cherish the moments we shared and the community we built together. Though our doors may be closing, the memories and friendships forged here will remain with us forever.”
