Huntsville Animal Services is sending out a plea for residents to adopt or foster animals at its overcrowded shelter on Triana Boulevard.
Currently, the shelter is accommodating nearly 200 dogs and cats of various ages, putting significant emotional strain on animals. In previous interviews with the Huntsville Times, Animal Services officials said the shelter can normally comfortably handle between 40 and 60 dogs.
