Monday brings another slew of heat advisories for Alabama.
According to the National Weather Service the combination of heat and humidity will raise the heat index, or “feels like” temperature, as high as 110 degrees this afternoon in parts of the state.
Scattered rain and storms will also be possible today, but those may not arrive before the heat kicks in.
High temperatures today are expected to rise into the mid- to upper 90s across Alabama.

SOUTHWEST ALABAMA
* Heat advisory from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday for Choctaw, Washington, Clarke, Wilcox, Monroe, Conecuh, Butler, Crenshaw, Escambia, Covington, Mobile and-Baldwin counties.
The heat index could rise as high as 110 this afternoon, according to the weather service.
SOUTHEAST ALABAMA
* Heat advisory for Coffee, Dale, Geneva, Henry and Houston counties from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday.
Heat index values up to 111 degrees will be possible.
CENTRAL ALABAMA
* Heat advisory until 9 p.m. Monday for Lamar, Fayette, Walker, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Shelby, Sumter, Greene, Hale, Perry, Bibb, Chilton, Coosa, Tallapoosa, Chambers, Marengo, Dallas, Autauga, Lowndes, Elmore, Montgomery, Macon, Bullock, Lee, Russell, Pike, Barbour, Marion, St. Clair and Talladega counties.
Heat index values from 107-108 degrees will be possible in those areas.
