Man sentenced to 20 years in prison for killing man at Montgomery McDonald’s

A man was sentenced to 20 years in state prison for fatally shooting another man five years ago while firing recklessly into a crowd at a Montgomery McDonald’s, according to court records.

Henry Tyrese Wallace, 25, pleaded guilty May 8 to reckless murder in the fatal Sept. 5, 2019 shooting of 20-year-old Ty’Riq Moon, records showed.

Wallace “recklessly fired a firearm near a crowd of people” at the McDonald’s at 2212 Madison Ave. when Moon “stepped into the line of fire and was struck in the head,” according to the criminal complaint filed in the case.

Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge James Anderson sentenced Wallace to 20 years in state prison on Wednesday, records showed.
