Legendary guitarist Slash is on tour celebrating the release of his blues album “Orgy of the Damned.”
The S.E.R.P.E.N.T. tour, which will make a stop in Huntsville, Ala., features Warren Haynes Band, Keb’ ‘Mo, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Robert Randolph, Samantha Fish, Eric Gales, ZZ Ward, Jackie Venson and Larkin Poe.

The S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival is contributing to charities such as the Equal Justice Initiative, Know Your Rights Camp, The Greenlining Institute and War Child. The festival site says $1 from every ticket “directly contributes to these vital causes….By attending this festival, you’re not only experiencing incredible music but also actively transforming lives and creating a brighter future for those in need.”
Slash, known for his trademark top hat and wicked guitar licks, is known as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. He is lead guitarist for Guns N’ Roses and later formed the groups Slash’s Snakepit and Velvet Revolver.
In 2009, Time magazine named him second only to Jimi Hendrix on its list of “10 Best Electric Guitar Players.”
