Weezer, the alt-rock/pop-punk group formed in LA in 1992, is going strong and out on tour. The group will perform in Nashville with Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr. The band is known for songs like “Say It Ain’t So,” “Buddy Holly,” “Undone: The Sweater Song” and “Pork and Beans.”

You can find tickets to Weezer’s Sept. 17, 2024, show in Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on secondary markets. At the time of this writing, tickets were available at SeatGeek | Vivid Seats | StubHub | Ticketmaster.

Weezer’s lineup consists of Rivers Cuomo (lead vocals, lead guitar, keyboards), Patrick Wilson (drums), Brian Bell (guitar, backing vocals, keyboards) and Scott Shriner (bass, backing vocals). The group has sold more than 10 million albums in the U.S. and more than 35 million worldwide. The music video for “Pork and Beans” won a Grammy for Best Short Form Music Video in 2009.

Weezer has also been involved in providing music for numerous children’s movies, including a cover of “You Might Think” for the Pixar movie “Cars 2,” a cover of “Lost In the Woods” for the “Frozen II” soundtrack and the original song “It’s Always Summer in Bikini Bottom” for “The SpongeBob Movie” soundtrack.
