The Huntsville Planning Commission is expected to give final boundary plat approval for more than 300 apartment units at its meeting at City Hall on Tuesday.
It is also expected to give final approval for the construction of more than 80 homes in the southeast part of the city which is undergoing fast growth.
Ridgehouse Apartments at Johns Landing is the largest apartment complex expected to get approval. The commission will vote on final boundary plat approval for 176 units to be built south of Plummer Road and west of Johns Road.
The complex is being developed by LR Huntsville Investors II, LLC. Johnson & Associates is the engineer.
The commission is also expected to vote on final boundary plat approval for the 143-unit Kirby Lane Homes (apartments) north of U.S. 72 West and west of Promenade Point.
It is being developed by Elmington Residential with Kimley-Horn-Croy as the engineer.
The commission will vote on final approval for 64 lots in phase four of the Natures Walk on the Flint, which is east of Old Big Cove Road and south of River Park Boulevard.
