Nick Saban is retired, but only from coaching.
He’s staying plenty busy. This week has been a prime example. The former Alabama football coach has spent the week in Dallas at SEC Media Days in his role as a college football analyst for ESPN.
Would he consider another role in college football in the future? Perhaps commissioner of college football?
He was asked the question during a brief gathering with reporters Wednesday morning. Saban chuckled throughout his answer.
“You need to ask (my wife) Miss Terry that,” Saban said. “I try to go play golf at 7:30 in the morning so I get home at 11:30. I can’t get to the ninth hole without getting a text of, ‘This is what I want you to do when you get home.’”
There’s often plenty of chores for him to do.
“At least let me finish my round,” Saban said, laughing. “It’s not like it’s going to get done any faster.”
As far as his golf game goes, Saban has much more time to play but still hasn’t hit another hole-in-one.
