Christmas in July? It’s a polarizing concept, kind of like the annual arrival of pumpkin spice lattes.

Some enthusiastic folks have already decked the halls, assembled a pile of gifts, listened to favorite carols and placed “It’s a Wonderful Life” at the top of streaming lists. We suspect they’re feeling merry and bright right now, beating the summer heat by thinking of snowflakes and Santa. All well and good, or as Mr. Claus would say, “Ho, ho, ho!”
