Authorities are searching for a paralyzed man whose raft was recovered Friday afternoon on Lake Eufaula.
The 54-year-old man, who is paralyzed from the waist down, disappeared on the lake near the Holiday Shore Area, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies recovered the missing man’s raft around 12:53 p.m. Friday in the water north of the Walter F. George dam, the office said.
Authorities believe the man is suicidal.
“There will be a heavy law enforcement presence in the area until the missing person is located,” the sheriff’s office said.
Anyone with information that would be helpful to authorities was asked to call the sheriff’s office at 334-585-3131.
