Readers overwhelmingly chose T.R. Miller to win the Class 3A state football championship this week in AL.com’s online poll.

AL.com picked reigning 2A champ Fyffe to win the title in its Monday preview of that classification.

However, 72 percent of the AL.com readers who voted picked Brent Hubbert’s Tigers to claim the crown. T.R. Miller, which drops from 4A to 3A this fall, was No. 3 in AL.com’s ranking of the top seven contenders for the title.
