An Alabama volunteer firefighter was jailed Wednesday on eight child pornography charges, according to authorities and jail records.
Robert Hancock, 26, of Clanton, is a volunteer firefighter with the Clanton Fire Department, Chief David Driver told AL.com.
Driver said he could not comment on Hancock’s employment status with the department following the arrest, citing the ongoing investigation.
Clanton County jail records show Hancock is being held on $120,000 bond.
He was booked into the lockup late Wednesday morning on eight counts of possession of child pornography.
