Alabama football took its second commitment of the day on Wednesday, when a highly ranked kicker announced his pledge to the Crimson Tide. UA landed Peter Notaro Wednesday afternoon, a 2025 kicker who will join the team from North Allegheny in Pennsylvania.
Notaro shared the news on his social media Wednesday. He’ll likely join the team as a preferred walk-on.
He is ranked as the No. 4 kicker in the class of 2025 by Kohl’s Professional Camps. The organization rated him as a five-star kicker prospect, and a 4.5-star punter.
“Notaro has continued to get stronger and make gains,” Kohl’s wrote of the kicker in its assessment. “At a May Showcase Camp, he had an outstanding performance scoring 13 of 15 points on field goals and 104.25 points on kick-offs. He is a D1 recruit as a kicker.”
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound specialist chose Alabama over reported offers from Ohio State, Pitt and West Virginia. He’ll join punter Alex Asparuhov in the Crimson Tide’s 2025 recruiting class.
Notaro’s longest field goal of last season came from 47 yards out according to Maxpreps.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Crimson Tide took four-star linebacker Justin Hill’s commitment. Alabama’s 2025 class, Kalen DeBoer’s first full cycle after taking over as head coach when Nick Saban retired, currently ranks No. 2 on the 247Sports composite, behind just Ohio State.
