Alabama defensive back Jaylen Mbakwe hasn’t forgotten his friends.
The Crimson Tide freshman returned to his high school on Friday and gave each member of the Clay-Chalkville football team a copy of EA Sports College Football 25.
Clay-Chalkville head coach Stuart Floyd posted the generous gift on “X” this afternoon.
Though his future is in the defensive secondary, Mbakwe played quarterback for the Cougars a year ago and led the team to a 14-0 record and the Class 6A state title.
In his team’s dramatic title game win over current teammate Ryan Williams and Saraland, Mbakwe ran for three touchdowns and threw for another. He finished with 130 yards rushing and was 9-of-17 passing for 152 yards on his way to MVP honors.
He also was a finalist for Class 6A Back of the Year.
